Step up to DSLR image quality with the Canon EOS 1100D, an impressively powerful digital camera that will help you capture stunning photos and video you'll want to treasure and share.

With an impressive 12-megapixel APS-C-sized sensor, you can shoot beautifully lifelike pictures that can be blown up to A3 size with no loss of detail.

Compose and review images on the 2.7 inch LCD screen, which also provides access to the menu system and Quick Control Screen. The EOS 1100D's Feature Guide shows how to use the functions simply and clearly.

The Scene modes automatically pick the most suitable exposure for your shooting situation, while Creative Auto mode portrays adjustable functions in an easy to understand way.

Shoot stunning HD video at 25 or 30fps, with automatic exposure control leaving you free to concentrate on the action. Footage can be edited on your PC or Mac, or played directly on an HD TV via HDMI connection.

Low-light shooting without flash is possible thanks to an ISO 100-6400 sensitivity range. The camera's 14-bit DIGIC 4 processor helps to control noise and maintain image quality.

The Canon EOS 1100D focuses quickly and accurately on static and moving subjects, thanks to nine AF points, spread out across the frame.

Comments about Canon EOS 1100D 12 Megapixel Digital Camera and 1855mm Lens:

This is my first ever DSLR camera, It really is a pleasure to use and the pictures are very very good.

This is a great entry level camera for the enthusiast, Canon is a name you can trust and the fact lenses are interchangeable is great.

The only complaint i would have is the stock lens it comes with, It is a good lens with a range of 18mm - 55mm but only f3.5 - f5.6
You can use aperture priority mode and drop the f/stop as low as f22 but you can never exceed f3.5.

The automatic modes are good, It is just point and click, But to get the most from the camera you will need to understand how ISO, Aperture & Shutter speed all combine to get a perfect exposure.
This is rather advanced but if you take the time to learn all this you will find this camera an absolute joy to use.

I would reccommend this camera to any enthusiast thinking of buying a DSLR camera.
If you find yourself getting in to photography you can easily buy some quality lenses (macro, telephoto etc) and if you upgrade the 1100D all your lenses with fit all the other Canon cameras.

Comments about Canon EOS 1100D 12 Megapixel Digital Camera and 1855mm Lens:

Really basic camera for the price, although it is far superior than a bridge camera. I did expect better from Canon, and in my honest opinion I would shell out the extra £££ for the Canon EOS 550D, as it is better in every aspect.
Not knocking this camera as it is good quality and ideal for a beginner and is very easy to use, shame it doesn't come with IS lens though, which the 550D does.
Compared against the similiar priced Nikon D3100, then the Nikon wins for features and spec.
Still a good camera though and I do recommend it.
