Excellent value for money

Comments about Dakota Faux Leather TV Bed:

Luckily my boyfriend knows how to build these sort of things so it didnt take him too long. We are very impressed with it and with the 10% off offer think it was a bargain compared to other shops such as dreams. Only problem which someone else has noted is that the button can only be set up to one side. Also we have set sky up to the tv and the sky box has to go in the slot at the bottom so bit of a pain trying to change channel. Other than that though brilliant!

Comments about Dakota Faux Leather TV Bed:

Recently bought one of these beds with the memory foam mattress.Assembly took a lot less time than the leaflet states. I put this bed together in under 45 minutes (I am disabled with MS). The screwless slats of the bed are the best by far. 3 plastic clips and 2 slats slot together and fit into pre-drilled holes on the side rails and centre support bar. The biggest problem is the actual TV mount itself. I purchased a SAMSUNG UE32EH5300 32" LED Smart TV (code 28KY9) to go on the TV mount section, but with the factory fitted mounting, the lower support of the mounting bracket ran directly across the power and RF aerial sockets meaning that it had to be removed for the TV to be mounted. Luckily because the TV is so light, using two bolts (instead of the four) to mount it is perfectly fine with no movement of the TV at all. The actual TV mechanism though means that you have to really think about cable management from the TV to the centre upright of the mounting as there are some parts of the motorised mounting that are extremely close to the back of the TV when it is going up and down. The get the 3 x HDMI cables, RF aerial cable and power cable to run without catching on the mechanism as the TV moves up and down, took longer than the actual building of the bed itself! You cannot use 2 x 90 degree angled HDMI connections on the back of the TV I chose as the ports are vertically stacked (poorly thought out design by Samsung). The operating switch is only usable from one side as only one connection cable is provided by the manufacturer. This means that your partner may have to lean over you to get to the switch if you fall asleep when they are watching something. It would cost next to nothing to include a twin 5 pin DIN plug connection to allow both side mounted switches to be used (as they have included the side mounted cable connection for both side - which I found strange). The mounting area for a DVD/Blu-Ray/SKY/Freeview unit seems to be strangely located towards the foot end of the bed. Obviously these would require the remote controls to be held out and down the side of the bed that they are located to operate them. This could be a problem if your duvet cover or throw hangs over the front of them. It would have made more sense to have them at the headboard end of the bed and give the purchaser the option of buying longer cables to connect to the TV itself (5m HDMI cables are not that more expensive the 3m ones from most supermarkets & you get no signal degradation over that length!). You could swap the side panels to the "wrong" sides to do this, but this then places the operation button towards the foot end which defeats the object of having a bed like this. Overall the bed with the memory foam mattress as a bed is flawless and extremely expensive looking. Just a shame that the TV part of the package did not have a little more thought put in to it [...]In the 2 nights so far the myself and the wife have slept in this bed, we have had the best nights sleep for years in it and we have both woken up feeling much better with less pain in our spines.
