[...] stylish fan but as noisy as any regular fan when on full power but i wont have it on full power at bedtime and when the power is adjusted lower you can hardly hear it . does the job it was intended for with added style. bit expensive but you have to pay for advanced technology. this is the fan you want if you dont like the heat. its like having a cool breeze from a window blowing on you. its very diffrent from a waffting fan. i know i could put this fan in a room and it will cool the room temp down. if you can afford and need a fan buy it. the fan is very light. i love the fact it has no blades. once click to assemble. safe for the elderly and kids. really easy to use. bring on the summer

The fan is far more efficient and aesthetically pleasing than a normal fan, and more robust (when I think of the cost of all the cheap fans I have bought!). However, the noise is no different to a standard fan. I'm very pleased with it though.

I had pneumonia and was a patient in hospital last September 2010 and the ward had just taken delivery of 6 of these. I was given one to trial as I had a temperature.
It was just the best type of fan I've come across for positioning. It has different speeds and is very quiet.
I was so impressed I bought one to keep at home.
The fan just looks so unusual and several visitors commented on how good it looked. They also put their hand where the fan blades shoudl be to try and figure out how it works.
The hospital bought them as part of their Infection Control procedures, because they are so easy to clean.
