| Francesca 3-door Sideboard This sideboard from our Francesca range of living and dining room furniture is constructed from quality solid oak and complementary oak veneers. The traditional butcher-block effect offers a distinctive character that's highlighted by a rich mixture of shades. When I ordered this there were no reviews so was a bit cautious. If the description was like the ingredients on something in the kitchen cupboard, then it should read, Chipboard, Oak Veneer, Oak & Screws, where as the description makes a bit more of the Oak, and its complimentary veneers. That said, go to one of the out-of-town furniture shops and you will pay 3 times as much, and there is as much chipboard in those, the solid oak is in all the important parts and the veneer on the top is a good 4mm thick so will not chip off easily. Assembly is quick and swift, though some of the screws don't 'bite' so well, and the drawers are not the strongest, and my advice would be take it slowly and carefully and add a blob of wood glue to some of the screws and dowels. Don't over tighten the cams in the drawers. The magnetic door catches are a bit 'old hat' so I will be off to B&Q to find some 'soft closers'. Delightfully unlike our Swedish flat pack friends it is not covered in lacquer, and after a few days it elcomed some danish oil. Good effort little woods looks great in my house.!

The wood for this item looks good, even the veneer sides are quite a good match. I can't comment on what it looks like assembled or how it was to put together as it's currently in pieces in my dining room. No hardware was sent with the item, so no screws, handles, hinges, etc. [...]
