This top is very pretty but I found as other reviewers did that it was slightly on the big size and I went down a size to what I normally am. I also found the colours on the picture are more defined than on the actual top, I also thought it was a bit expensive for what it was.

beautiful stylish top , I normally take a size 12 but the size 10 fits me perfectly.Although its an expensive item the quality is as usual from French Connection second to none .

The diagram below shows the key points to measure when calculating size, then simply select the correct size from the chart above. It's best to actually take body measurements rather than measuring over clothes. You shouldn't need to 'size up' or 'down' unless you have a particular fit preference of course.

1. The Back or Band Size (A)
Keep your bra on and measure in inches around your ribcage directly under your bust.
- If it is an even number = add 4 ins
- If it is an odd number = add 5 ins
This gives you the band or back size. When measuring, you should always round down! Your underband should be snug, e.g. If you achieve 29.5 ins then round down.
For example: your underband measurement is 29in then add 5 ins - you are a 34.
2. The Cup Size (B)
Now measure around the fullest part of your bust, the full bust measurement less underband = cup size. When measuring, you should always round up!
The over bust measurement should always be generous, e.g. If you achieve 34.5 ins then round up to 35 ins.
- 34 Back size & 34 Full Bust size = A cup
- 34 Back size & 35 Full Bust size (+1 ins difference) = B cup
- 34 Back size & 36 Full Bust size (+2 ins difference) = C cup
- 34 Back size & 36 Full Bust size (+3 ins difference) = D cup... etc.
Footwear
width - toes should have room to spread with no bulges at the shoe’s widest part.
length - there should be half an inch (1.25cm) between the end of the shoe and the longest toe.
