In my mind its absalutely useless. Its fine if you are wanting to take photos of inanimate objects but I find with slight movement it blurred a little and was difficult to focus. Also when completely zoomed in the lense is heavy so makes it unstable to hold I have dropped it once or twice (I am not usually a dropper) so it would be VERY unsuitable to let your kids to take pictures with. Also when videoing the zoom buttons are very loud so the noise would have to be edited out on a computer. But when you do get a still picture the quality of the colour and detail is very good.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Images are stored electronically, either in the camera's memory or on a removable memory card. Extend storage capacity with extra memory cards or sticks but please check text for compatibility when ordering.
