Have had since Oct 2012 and am looking to buy another vacuum to replace this.The plastic handle that connects to the metal hose has cracked so a lot of pressure cannot be applied.The suction is the worst i have had,i have to hand brush the collies hairs into a ball to pick up.

I purchased this item as it is a good name and got average to good reviews. it is awful, I have to go over the same piece of carpet several times. it doesn't pick up dog hair or ANY hair without me having to swirl the hoover around to make the hair ball up. I empty and clean it every time and it makes no difference. another company I will never purchase from. [$]

It is suppose to be 2300 Watt and it performed like a 1100 watt! No powerful suction and the bag-less cylinder got blocked very easily. It gets over-heated quickly then it stops working. You switch it on the next day then its up and running again. Would not recommend Hoover at all.
