This hand blender is worth spending a little bit more on rather than the alternatives out there that fall apart and don't last. When using the blender it feels as if you are you using a very good quality product and it looks good and is very sturdy making you feel confident that it is going to last without it burning out after a couple of months. It is straightforward to use, easy to clean and is easily put away for another day.

This is a kenwood and although can be expensive they last, brought this to replace a mixer I had for 20 + years. It can be noisy depending what type bowl/ jug your mixing in and by the same token can be a bit on the heavy side if holding for a while, having said that it comes with 5 speeds pre set and a pulse option. I find this a must as was always wanting more speed on old one but didn't have it. Haven't tried meringues yet but judging by how well mixes sponges and the are a lot lighter in texture would imagine it does them well.
