Our LG tv arrived in a huge box that offered perfect protection. The tv is actually lighter than our old Sony 40", and a lot thinner. The frame is a handsome brushed finish and the controls are touch sensitive. The remote control has large buttons on a well thought out layout. Setting up the tv is simple, just follow the on-screen instructions. You will need to play with the picture settings, the out of the box settings will not be suitable for everyone. Be prepared to be blown away by the picture quality, it is fantastic in 2D & 3 D. This knocks spots off our old Sony 1080P LCD and the quality of the product is just as good. 2D HD viewing is crisp and smooth, no motion drag. The passive 3D is fabulous to watch, but easy on the eyes, we watched Hugo and you find yourself flinching at times when objects come hurtling out of the screen. 2D to 3D is okay if you really want to see a 3D effect on 2D films, but it's more of a gimmick really. Finally, the sound is very decent for such a thin screen, indeed it exceeded my expectations. A soundbar or surround system will obviously improve what I would describe as very adequate sound. Bottom line - highly recommended especially at this price.
