Bought this gate to protect the christmas tree and cat from my 1yr old granddaughter. Also to stop all my young grandchildren from getting to the stairs and frontdoor. Due to having a very wide opening normal gates wouldn't fit. This one adjusted to almost a perfect fit just added a thin batton.
