Be Modern began making fires and fireplace surrounds in 1963 in Sunderland and soon gained a deserved reputation for quality and innovation in fire and heating equipment, both for large public buildings and for the home. The companys premises in the north east of England now covers 500,000 square feet, but the fireplace experts still pride themselves on their meticulous eye for detail, high standards of manufacture and commitment to the environment.
