A tulip that brings real drama and warmth to your spring garden. 'Blushing Apeldoorn' boasts rich, sunset tones and strong, weather-resilient stems. Each flower opens in a glowing mix of golden yellow and coral-red blushes, as if the petals have caught the light of a late evening sun. It's part of the Darwin Hybrid group, which means you can count on extra-large blooms, sturdy stems, and a reliable return every year.

These tulips are tall, up to 60cm in height, making them ideal for around the middle of borders, where you want to add height and impact.

Plant them in autumn into well-drained soil, 10-15cm deep and around 10cm apart. They thrive in full sun or light shade and will reward you with upright, strong stems and long-lasting flowers in April and May.

Feed them in early spring with a high-potash fertiliser to support flowering and help the bulbs recharge for the next season. Once the flowers are over, allow the foliage to die back naturally - this is essential for keeping your tulips going strong year after year.
